"PUBLIC DISPLAYS of AFFECTION"
A series of reality performances by Idealist, Humanist and Wedding Officiant, Frank Harlan

Frank Harlan's PDA's are Same-sex wedding ceremonies performed in popular public places to promote awareness of "Marriage Equality" and equal rights for all human beings. PDA Ceremonies are performed up to twice monthly, around the city of Seattle, so that it may be witnessed and supported by family, friends, the general public and others just passing by!

THE NEXT PDA: Will be announced via Twitter @PDASeattle please follow us!

“Same-sex marriage continues to be a controversial subject; both socially and politically...why?
Personally, I have always been an advocate of human relationships and true love.”

“Public Displays of Affection” was premiered in October of 2011 at On the Boards' 12 Minutes Max performance series. The first couple to be featured was Tanisha and Lauren (pictured right). The experience was magical. More than 40 people signed as witnesses on their Certificate of Union.

"I have always participated in PDA's and
I think that this is a
creative way to reach out
and touch someone. Go for the heart, right?"

Each couple's PDA wedding ceremony will be scheduled to take place at popular landmarks and public locations throughout the Seattle metropolitan area (i.e. Gas Works Park, Fremont Troll, Capitol Hill, Golden Gardens, Westlake Center, Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, etc.). Each wedding ceremony will unite couples as "Life Partners".

The general public is welcome and encouraged to gather as invited guests to witness the ceremony and, by being present, show their support for "Marriage Equality".

If you would like to attend these emotional and heartfelt events;
dates, times and locations will be announced exclusively on Twitter @PDASeattle.

FAQ:
How much does this cost?

Nothing. If you participate in one of Frank Harlan's guerrilla-style "Public Displays of Affection" wedding ceremonies , there will be no cost to you and your partner.

When and Where will the ceremonies take place?
Your actual date, time and location will be determined at your initial meeting.

How often do you perform PDA Wedding Ceremonies?
My plan is to perform up to two PDA's every month until Same-sex marriage is legal in Washington state.

What's the catch?
Bottom line, this is a visual aid... a publicity stunt to raise awareness of "Marriage Equality". Your wedding ceremony will take place in a public forum. The content will be honest, sincere and personalized to reflect your relationship.

PDA wedding ceremonies will not include any political statement in it's content; the visual of the community gathering, love and support for each couple speaks for itself.

Does our Commitment Ceremony have to be performed in a public forum?
If the public forum is not for you, I am also available to preside over your private ceremony. Click here to contact me.
