If you were planning to have a Courthouse wedding in downtown Seattle, but would really like to get married in the morning or afternoon, and host a few family members and close friends, the Elopement Garden is a great option for doing just that.

Wedding Officiant and Humanist Celebrant, Frank Harlan has presided over Non-religious Weddings for couples since 2009 and has been the preferred Officiant of brides and grooms who choose to put their faith in a partnership based in mutual love and devotion.

When you have the time to plan ahead a week or two, Frank’s Elopement Wedding Celebration production is a little more involved than a simple courthouse-style or civil union production because couples may participate as much or as little as they would like in preparation e.g., writing your vows, family blending rituals and answering a few question related to the narrative for your ceremony’s script.

You may have up to ten guests for your Elopement Celebration.
However, at minimum, two witnesses are required (and may be provided with advanced notice). Your guests are welcome to take photos and you may record your ceremony on your cell phone or live stream it to family and friends (Tripod and mics provided).

After your marriage license is signed, you and your guests will be treated to a hosted photo op mini-reception with a toast program and cake cutting to add more fun to your wedding day.*

If your intention is short, sweet and to the point...
E-Z Elope | Civil Union-style Ceremony

Don't want any guests? No bells and whistles? Cool. Want to write your own vows? That's great too! I am open to working with any couple who just wants to keep it low key and just make the experience their own. I get it and I support you. Up to eight guests are welcome. However, two Witnesses are required by law (may
be provided for you with advance planning). Frank will perform a secular courthouse length wedding ceremony with you, then sign and submit your certificate of marriage documents for processing and have two certified copies sent to you for your records.

Time on site: Less than 1 hour.

Food or beverages not permitted.
